Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a missing authorization flaw in Stonewuu ai-fusion-video through version 1.2.0. Authenticated non-admin users can access unprotected endpoints in ApiConfigController and SystemConfigController to read stored secrets like AI provider API keys, proxy passwords, and mail passwords. The issue occurs because the endpoints lack proper access controls, allowing unauthorized users to query sensitive configuration data.

Detection Guidance

Check for unprotected API endpoints by inspecting network traffic for requests to /api-config/get/list, /api/system/config, or similar paths. Use tools like curl to query these endpoints with a valid non-admin user session. Example: curl -X GET http://<target>/api/system/config or curl -X GET http://<target>/api-config/get/list

Review server logs for unauthorized access attempts to configuration endpoints. Look for repeated GET requests to these paths from non-admin accounts.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could exploit this to obtain sensitive credentials such as API keys for AI services, proxy passwords, or mail server passwords. This enables billing abuse by using paid AI services without authorization and sending unauthorized emails from the platform. The impact includes financial loss, reputational damage, and potential misuse of platform resources.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to non-compliance with GDPR and HIPAA due to unauthorized access to sensitive data. Exposure of API keys and mail passwords may violate data protection requirements for confidentiality and integrity. Organizations using this software may face legal penalties, loss of trust, and increased regulatory scrutiny.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately restrict access to the ApiConfigController and SystemConfigController endpoints by enforcing admin role checks. Update to the latest version if available or apply patches that add proper authorization checks.

Rotate all exposed secrets including AI provider API keys, proxy passwords, and mail passwords. Monitor for any unauthorized usage of these credentials.
