Executive Summary

CVE-2026-111611 is an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability in roncoo-education versions up to 25.0.0-RELEASE. It allows authenticated users to manipulate order-related endpoints by supplying another user's order number. This enables attackers to cancel pending orders or access sensitive details like course IDs and prices without proper ownership verification.

Detection Guidance

To detect this IDOR vulnerability, monitor network traffic for requests to the order pay cancel or continue endpoints. Check if the system processes requests without validating the order ownership. Use tools like Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP to intercept and modify order numbers in authenticated requests to see if unauthorized access is possible.

Impact Analysis

If you use roncoo-education, an attacker with access to your account could cancel your pending orders or view private order details such as course prices and IDs. This could disrupt your learning or payment processes and expose sensitive information.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability may violate GDPR by exposing personal data (course IDs, prices) without proper authorization. It could also breach HIPAA if healthcare-related training data is involved, as unauthorized access to sensitive information is possible.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately update roncoo-education to a patched version beyond 25.0.0-RELEASE. Implement ownership checks in the order pay cancel and continue endpoints by comparing the order's user ID with the authenticated user's ID. Review and enforce access control at the data layer for all order-related operations.
