SQL Injection in OpenClaw Feishu Extension

Vulnerability report for CVE-2026-112238, including description, CVSS score, EPSS score, affected products, exploitability, helpful resources, and attack-flow context.

Publication date: 2026-10-20

Last updated on: 2026-10-20

Assigner: TYPO3

Description

The file search of the extension builds its database conditions by wrapping the search term in quotes itself. Only the wildcard characters of the LIKE operator are escaped, quote characters are not. A crafted search term can therefore leave the intended string value and change the database query. This allows an attacker to read data from the database. The issue affects every searched field.

CWE ID Description
CWE-89 The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.

Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a SQL injection flaw in the TYPO3 extension 'File manager' (ameos_filemanager). The issue occurs in the file search functionality where the extension wraps search terms in quotes but fails to escape quote characters in the input. This allows attackers to craft search terms that alter database queries, enabling them to read data from the database across all searched fields.

Detection Guidance

Check the installed version of the TYPO3 extension 'File manager' (ameos_filemanager) using the TYPO3 extension manager or command line tools. If the version is 3.1.2 or below, the system is vulnerable.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to read sensitive data from the database, potentially including user credentials, personal information, or other confidential data. Since the flaw affects every searched field, the impact could be significant if the database contains critical information.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access to personal data, violating GDPR's data protection principles and potentially HIPAA's security requirements for protected health information. Organizations may face compliance breaches, legal penalties, and reputational damage if exploited.

Mitigation Strategies

Update the 'File manager' extension to version 3.1.3 or later immediately using the TYPO3 extension manager, Packagist, or the official TYPO3 extensions repository.
