Executive Summary

This vulnerability is an OS command injection flaw in the orbitale imagemagick-php library up to version 3.3.5. It exists in the Command::font function of src/Command.php where the fontFile argument can be manipulated to execute arbitrary operating system commands. The issue is remotely exploitable and a public exploit is available.

Impact Analysis

If you use the affected orbitale imagemagick-php library, attackers could remotely execute arbitrary commands on your system by manipulating the fontFile parameter. This could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, system compromise, or further network infiltration depending on the permissions of the application.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately update orbitale imagemagick-php to the latest version beyond 3.3.5. If no update is available, disable the fontFile parameter in Command::font function or restrict access to the application. Monitor network traffic for unusual command execution patterns.
