Executive Summary

The LogixFast Auth WordPress plugin before version 1.0.4 has a flaw where password reset one-time codes are sent to the email address provided in the reset request instead of the email linked to the targeted account. This allows unauthenticated attackers to reset any user's password, including administrators, and take over their accounts.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data, violating compliance requirements under GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulations. It may result in data breaches, unauthorized disclosures, and failure to protect user privacy.
