Description
Description
In Progress® Telerik® Document Processing Libraries prior to version 2026.3.1027, uncontrolled recursion, infinite loop, inefficient algorithmic complexity and resource allocation vulnerabilities in RadPdfProcessing and AI document summarization and question answering allow an unauthenticated attacker to terminate or hang the host process via a crafted PDF document or document text submitted for summarization or question answering.

Helpful Resources
Exploitability
| CWE ID | Description |
|---|---|
| CWE-789 | The product allocates memory based on an untrusted, large size value, but it does not ensure that the size is within expected limits, allowing arbitrary amounts of memory to be allocated. |
| CWE-835 | The product contains an iteration or loop with an exit condition that cannot be reached, i.e., an infinite loop. |
| CWE-770 | The product allocates a reusable resource or group of resources on behalf of an actor without imposing any intended restrictions on the size or number of resources that can be allocated. |
| CWE-407 | An algorithm in a product has an inefficient worst-case computational complexity that may be detrimental to system performance and can be triggered by an attacker, typically using crafted manipulations that ensure that the worst case is being reached. |
| CWE-674 | The product does not properly control the amount of recursion that takes place, consuming excessive resources, such as allocated memory or the program stack. |
