Executive Summary

This is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Esri Portal for ArcGIS versions 12.1 and earlier. It allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to craft a malicious link that, when clicked by a victim, could execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the victim's browser.

Detection Guidance

This vulnerability is specific to Esri Portal for ArcGIS versions 12.1 and prior. To detect it, check the installed version of ArcGIS Server software by running commands like 'arcgis-server --version' or checking the software's about section.
