Description

Omnispace Agora Project before 26.10.0 contains a broken access control vulnerability in setAffectations() that allows authenticated attackers to insert access-right records for a caller-supplied target space without verifying the caller has rights to that space. Attackers can assign access affectations to spaces outside their own reach, breaking tenant isolation and granting unauthorized access to restricted spaces.

Executive Summary

CVE-2026-63153 is a broken access control vulnerability in Omnispace Agora Project versions before 26.10.0. It exists in the setAffectations() function, allowing authenticated attackers to insert access-right records for any target space without proper authorization checks. This bypasses tenant isolation and enables unauthorized access to restricted spaces.

Detection Guidance

To detect this vulnerability, review logs for unauthorized access attempts or modifications to access-right records in the setAffectations() function. Check for users attempting to assign access affectations to spaces outside their assigned tenant. No specific commands are provided in the context.

Impact Analysis

Attackers could gain unauthorized access to restricted spaces, potentially stealing sensitive data, modifying files, or disrupting operations. Since it affects tenant isolation, multiple organizations using the same instance could be exposed to cross-tenant breaches.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability allows unauthorized access to restricted spaces, which could lead to unauthorized access or disclosure of sensitive data. This may violate compliance requirements under GDPR (data protection) and HIPAA (healthcare data privacy) by exposing personal or protected health information to unauthorized users.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately upgrade to Omnispace Agora Project version 26.10.0 or later to address the vulnerability. Review and restrict access controls to prevent unauthorized modifications to access-right records. Monitor for any suspicious activity related to tenant isolation breaches.
