Executive Summary

This vulnerability allows an attacker to trick a user into revealing Autofill contents through a tapjacking or overlay attack. It enables local privilege escalation without needing extra execution privileges or user interaction.

Detection Guidance

Detection primarily involves checking if your Android device has the November 2026 security patch applied. Use the command 'adb shell getprop ro.build.version.security_patch' to verify the security patch level. If it shows a date before 2026-11-01, the device is vulnerable.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could access sensitive information stored in Autofill fields on your Android device. Since no user interaction is required, the risk is higher as exploitation could happen silently.

Mitigation Strategies

Install the November 2026 Android Security Bulletin update immediately. Go to Settings > System > System Update and check for updates. If available, download and install the patch. Ensure automatic updates are enabled to prevent future vulnerabilities.
