Description

SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, AOR report generation concatenates an attacker-controlled stored field label into an ORDER BY clause without an allowlist. The affected flow begins at AOR_Reports and uses aor_fields, ORDER BY, and field label to carry attacker-controlled data or authorization state into the security-sensitive operation. An authenticated user with AOR Reports access can perform time-based extraction of password hashes and arbitrary table data and can hold database connections with expensive expressions. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.

CWE ID Description
CWE-943 The product generates a query intended to access or manipulate data in a data store such as a database, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that can modify the intended logic of the query.
CWE-89 The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.

Executive Summary

CVE-2026-100365 is a high-severity time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability in SuiteCRM versions 7.x and 8.x (up to 7.15.1 and 8.10.1). The flaw exists in the AOR_Reports ORDER BY clause where unsanitized field labels from the aor_fields table are concatenated into SQL queries. An authenticated attacker can exploit this to inject malicious SQL, enabling data exfiltration such as password hashes and arbitrary table access.

Detection Guidance

To detect this vulnerability, check SuiteCRM versions for 7.15.1 or 8.10.1 or earlier. Inspect AOR_Reports functionality for unusual SQL query patterns or time delays in report generation. Monitor database logs for suspicious queries involving aor_fields or ORDER BY clauses.

Impact Analysis

An attacker with low-privileged access to AOR_Reports can extract sensitive data like password hashes of all accounts, access arbitrary database tables, and potentially cause denial of service by holding database connections with expensive queries. If the SuiteCRM database user has elevated privileges, this could lead to full database compromise.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access and exfiltration of sensitive personal data, violating GDPR's data protection principles and HIPAA's security requirements for protected health information. Organizations using affected SuiteCRM versions may face compliance breaches, legal penalties, and reputational damage.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade SuiteCRM to versions 7.15.2 or 8.10.2 or later immediately. If upgrading is not possible, restrict access to AOR_Reports functionality and review database user permissions to limit potential damage from SQL injection.
