Executive Summary

This is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Alosuite affecting the delivery note functionality. It occurs due to insufficient sanitization and encoding of certain fields, allowing JavaScript code to be stored in the application. When other users view these records, the malicious script executes in their browsers, potentially altering displayed content or performing actions within their session.

Detection Guidance

To detect this stored XSS vulnerability in Alosuite, inspect the delivery note functionality for improperly sanitized inputs. Check the NombrePF parameter in the /Empresas/Create endpoint for JavaScript execution when records are viewed. Manually review stored data for suspicious scripts in affected fields.

Impact Analysis

An attacker with authenticated access could inject malicious scripts into delivery notes. These scripts may steal session cookies, redirect users to phishing sites, or manipulate displayed data. Users viewing affected records risk unauthorized actions performed on their behalf without their knowledge.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized data access or modification, violating GDPR's integrity and confidentiality principles. For HIPAA, it may compromise protected health information integrity. Both standards require safeguards against unauthorized data access, which this vulnerability undermines.

Mitigation Strategies

Apply input validation and output encoding to the NombrePF parameter in the /Empresas/Create endpoint. Ensure all user-supplied data is sanitized before storage. Implement Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to mitigate XSS impact. Update to the latest patched version of Alosuite if available.
