Executive Summary

This is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Alosuite affecting the delivery note functionality. It occurs due to insufficient sanitization and encoding of certain fields, allowing JavaScript code to be stored in the application. When other users view these affected records, the stored script executes in their browsers, potentially altering displayed content or performing actions within their session.

Detection Guidance

To detect this stored XSS vulnerability in Alosuite, inspect the delivery note functionality for unsanitized input fields. Check the '/PlantillasPdf/Edit/1273129' endpoint for parameters accepting user input without proper validation. Review browser console logs for unexpected JavaScript execution when viewing affected records.

Impact Analysis

An attacker with authenticated access could exploit this to inject malicious scripts into delivery notes. This could lead to session hijacking, defacement of content, or unauthorized actions performed on behalf of users viewing the affected records. The impact depends on user privileges and the nature of the injected script.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to non-compliance with GDPR by exposing user data through session hijacking or unauthorized actions. For HIPAA, it may risk protected health information integrity and confidentiality if exploited in healthcare-related modules. Organizations must address this to maintain data protection standards.

Mitigation Strategies

Apply input validation and output encoding to all fields in the delivery note functionality. Ensure JavaScript code cannot be injected or stored. Update Alosuite to the latest patched version if available. Restrict authenticated access to the affected endpoint to trusted users only.
