Executive Summary

CVE-2026-120460 is a cross-workspace authorization bypass in Jpom through version 2.11.12. It allows authenticated users with Docker permissions in one workspace to manage Docker assets (containers, images, volumes, networks) in other workspaces by supplying foreign Docker asset IDs. This bypasses workspace isolation, enabling unauthorized control across different workspaces.

Detection Guidance

Check Jpom logs for unauthorized Docker asset access attempts or cross-workspace operations. Review Docker controller endpoints for requests with foreign Docker asset IDs. Inspect network traffic for suspicious API calls to /docker/container, /docker/images, /docker/volumes, or /docker/networks paths.

Impact Analysis

Attackers with Docker permissions in any workspace can exploit this to control containers, images, volumes, and networks across workspaces. They could create privileged containers with host bind mounts, leading to full system compromise, data theft, or service disruption. Unauthorized access to sensitive data or systems is possible.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability likely violates compliance requirements for data protection and access control. It enables unauthorized access to sensitive data across workspaces, which could result in data breaches. Organizations using Jpom may fail to meet GDPR's data protection principles or HIPAA's access control and integrity requirements.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade Jpom to a patched version beyond 2.11.12. Implement workspace-scoped authorization checks for Docker controllers. Restrict Docker permissions to least privilege. Monitor for unauthorized cross-workspace Docker operations.
