Executive Summary

Coolify before version 4.1.1 has an information disclosure vulnerability. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this by sending specially crafted GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Gitea webhooks with a repository name containing % or empty and a common branch like main. This exploits unescaped LIKE wildcards to enumerate all application names across teams before signature verification.

Detection Guidance

Check webhook logs for unusual requests with repository names like % or empty strings combined with common branches such as main. Monitor for repeated failed signature verifications or unexpected application name disclosures in responses.

Impact Analysis

Attackers could discover sensitive application names, potentially leading to further targeted attacks. This could expose internal project names, team structures, or other confidential information, increasing risk of data breaches or unauthorized access.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability may violate compliance requirements by exposing sensitive information without authorization. GDPR requires protecting personal data, and HIPAA requires safeguarding protected health information. Unauthorized disclosure could lead to regulatory penalties.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade Coolify to version 4.1.1 or later to patch the vulnerability. Review and restrict webhook access, ensuring proper signature verification is enforced before processing requests.
