CWE ID Description
CWE-74 The product constructs all or part of a command, data structure, or record using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify how it is parsed or interpreted when it is sent to a downstream component.
CWE-89 The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.

Attackers might steal sensitive information like user credentials, financial records, or inventory data. The public availability of the exploit increases the risk of real-world attacks.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to violations of GDPR (data protection) and HIPAA (health information privacy) by exposing sensitive personal or health data. Organizations may face legal penalties, fines, or reputational damage if this flaw results in unauthorized data breaches. Compliance programs would need to address this risk promptly.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately update the Campcodes Complete Sales and Inventory System to the latest patched version. If no patch is available, restrict access to the /ahira/login.php file and disable remote connections to it. Review database queries in the application for SQL injection vulnerabilities and implement input validation.
